My name is Clive Huntbach and I was born into a dairy farming family in Cheshire.
I have lived in rural Cheshire but work has also taken
me to Oxfordshire and Kent.
I now live in Crewe but continue to have strong
links with the farming community.
My working background is in residential childcare, where I worked for a variety of different agencies,
looking after and supporting Children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
This is where I first got my interest in counselling, working together with counsellors in these settings.
I followed this interest in studying at Keele University.
I have worked as a lecturer at both South Cheshire College and Keele University
where I organised, taught, and delivered on various levels of health and social care
and counselling courses up to MSc in Counselling Psychology
at Keele University.
I have spent time working for charities.
I worked for a homeless charity in Birmingham supporting clients
often living on the periphery or not accepted in daily society.
This work was closely linked with Birmingham
NHS Homeless Mental Health team where I worked within the IAPT system.
I have volunteered for Body Positive, a charity working with anyone who has issues or
wants to improve their sexual health, sexuality or is living with HIV
In my late 30's I came out, and since live a happy and fulfilled life as a gay man.
This was after much work on self and self-acceptance. I had found this particularly difficult, living in
rural communities and through fear of allegation in social work.
Interests:
I am passionate about cars, own a classic car, and participate in Autograss racing.
I enjoy going to the gym and keeping fit.
Qualifications:
Counselling Supervision
Post-Graduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision
Counselling:
Master of Science in Counselling Psychology
Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling
Post-Graduate Certificate in Counselling
